There are many people who have played a part in the history of Bendon and none are more significant than the founder Ray Hurley.
The company revolutionised the lingerie industry with a radical approach to design. Rather than force women’s bodies in the restrictive corsetry of the time, the company looked at the way the body moved and pioneered lingerie that could ‘bend on’ the body.
While Bendon has gone through a number of changes in structure and ownership over the years, it has maintained its leadership through ideas and innovation.
Bendon is now owned by international entrepreneur Eric Watson’s private investment company.
